Chris Pfistner

Chris is a high tech entrepreneur and has enjoyed expedition travel for over 30 years. Growing up in Bern, Switzerland, in the foothills of the Alps, he picked up mountaineering at a young age and climbed many of the majestic peaks at his doorstep, before scaling mountains in far away lands like the Himalaya Range, Alaska, the Rockies and the Sierra Nevada. During his international travels he also discovered his passion for overlanding and has since explored many countries in Europe, Asia, North America and an even epic trip through Russia in an old Soviet Army truck.

Why “BernOverland”?

In honor of his hometown Bern in Switzerland, Chris is calling his Overland company “BernOverland”. The picture on the left shows the famous clock tower *Zytglogge” in the old town of Bern.

Fun fact:

Both Bern and California carry a Brown Bear in their flag. Check it out below
